Dr Deleep Kumar Gudipudi is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist with a particular focus on head &v neck, gastrointestinal and genitourinary malignancies and with a very special interest in Total Body Irradiation (TBI).
After completing his medical training at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, he undertook a fellowship at the world-renowned Simon Cancer Center and Proton Therapy Center, Radiation Oncology, Indian University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, the USA under the supervision of Professor Dr. Giuseppe Del Priore (mentor), Professor Dr.Higinia Cardenes and Professor Peter Johnston (Chairman Radiation Oncology). He joined as a consultant in the department of radiation oncology in 2014.
Dr. Deleep Kumar has a prolific research record with 41 peer-reviewed publications along with oral and poster presentations at national and international meetings and authored a textbook chapter titled Impact of chemotherapy and radiotherapy on Uterus in Fertility Preservation: Emerging Technologies and Clinical Applications. Apart from peer-reviewed publications, he was a recipient of the Young Doctor Summit Fellow award at International Gynecological Cancer Society (IGCS) 14th Biennial Meeting, 2012, held at Vancouver, Canada and IGCS Traveling Scholars Program -2013 grants to attend Simon Cancer Center, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis. He attended an advanced radiation oncology training course in IMRT/IGRT/SBRT at National Cancer Institute Singapore, Singapore in 2017. He was exemplary and instrumental in starting Total Body Irradiation as part of bone marrow transplant protocols at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute. His other interests include stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT). He is a guide and mentor to DNB residents at Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute
