Position: Director – Projects
The Role:-
As part of the leadership buildout, BIACHRI is seeking to appoint a Director – Projects for the institution. The individual will drive the project from concept to execution, commissioning and handing over to the user department at BIACHRI.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
Project Management
-
Define project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
-
Build upon the existing design, monitor and get the drawings prepared for the construction as per the project requirement. Acquire necessary permission, permits, licenses, statutory compliances etc.
-
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

Participate in or oversee the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors, and other vendors and architects.

Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track project milestones and deliverables. Oversee day-to-day contracts and commercial administration.
Manage project costs and timelines
-
Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This will include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Coordinate with field team, supporting team contractors, sub-contractors to ascertain the daily work progress and quality as per technical specifications & time schedule.

Develop a strong supply chain of vendors and negotiate competitive terms.
People management
-
Provide leadership for site project management function by managing, coordinating, and developing staff.

Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Collaborate with various external and internal stakeholders including Business Units Heads, Contractors, Architects, Engineers and Government authorities. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Quality and HSE
-
Execute and complete project on time with proper Quality, Safety and Environment Management. Ensure quality control of the projects throughout the life cycle.

Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
The position will be based in Hyderabad, Telangana and report to the CEO, BIACHRI.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished project management professional, preferably with experience of setting up hospital infrastructure in the country. The individual will not only possess robust project execution skills but also a strategic mind-set to plan projects in line with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will be someone who meets the following criteria:

BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a reputed institute with 20+ years of experience with at least 5 years in similar project leadership roles and a proven track record of successfully leading large projects

Possess knowledge of latest project management process, software and technologies.

Experience in leading the interface with engineering, operating teams, project leads, vendors, and finance team.
-
Must be numerate, technical in approach and possess entrepreneurial instincts and a track record of demonstrating success and the ability to achieve bottom line results.

Possess knowledge of best construction practices encompassing the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, AV & IT and sufficient experience at construction sites to be able to evaluate performance and risks.

Prior experience in commercial, technical, risk management, regulatory, and litigation issues and a good knowledge of laws and contracting practices.

Track record of delivering projects with industry leading cost, schedule and operability outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
