Dr.Daphne Fonseca is a passionate and dedicated Pathologist with excellent teaching and oratory skills who is associated with this institute since 2012. She did her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College,Mangalore and MD from Father Muller Medical College.She has done her observership in Oncopathology at Kidwai Memorial Institute,Bangalore during her residency.
Received training in Molecular pathology from Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata and NABL training as per the latest guidelines. Has 40 publications to her credit. Is a reviewer of the official publication Of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists- IJPM.
She has won the best publication award from Hyderabad Academy of Pathologists.Has delivered orations and lectures and slide seminars in International, national, state and regional conferences.
She has co-organised International Gynaecological Pathology conference in Hyderabad and lung preceptorship programme.DNB guide to our Pathology residents.Is a co-investigator in multi-institutional studies on oral and lung cancers.Life member of IAPM (National and state chapter) and IMA.
Has been chosen as Visiting Scientist -WHO classification of tumours group – International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), World Health Organization, Lyon, France.Has been invited as an observer on the Head and Neck, Endocrine and Neuroendocrine books.
